Flappy Bird: "Once you flap, you can't stop."

Thursday, January 30, 2014

There has been lots of memes in 9Gag.com, in other meme sites and on facebook regarding this "Flappy Bird" app that seems to be annoying a lot of people since its release. Here are some of them:

I got intrigued and tried the game, and indeed, it's the most annoying app I have ever tried thus far. It's so annoying that you'd be more persistent on beating the game and getting a higher score (Reaching 10 isn't much of an achievement, I tell you, it isn't.) I'll go over the basics of this "Flappy Bird" app and I'll try sharing some insights about this addicting app.

Flappy Bird, basically, it's a tap-to-fly game and you have to keep on tapping to keep your flappy bird flapping. There are Super Mario pipes you have to go through, it's the main obstacle of the game (I'm not sure if it changes into something else after you've passed through loads of pipes because the game is really hard, my score on my first try was 1, my best so far is 7). By the way, you get a score for every Super Mario pipe you pass through.

It's a very very annoying game honestly. It's so annoying that I can't stop playing it. This tap game eats your patience every tap you make, really, it's that annoying. I'm warning those with iPhone, especially those who are enjoying the luxury of having the iPhone 5s to not try playing this game, risk of flying phone is high.

One thing I like about this app is that the ads disappear when you start the game. It's that hard that even the developers of Flappy Bird considered those possible interruptions and distractions might get in the way of you getting a score higher than 10.

There, Flappy Bird, a not angry bird, will get you angry. But it's a good game.

  8. I'm afraid that I might not stop playing this game once it's downloaded in our tablet. But I hope that it's not as stressful as Candy Crush (to which I don't play).

  18. I gotta say, this app has been by far the most played as well as hated game app for smartphones. Too had the developer decided to take it down. You know what they say... all good things must come to an end.
