Summer heat brings our sense of style to waste. We tend to do everything on the comfortable side, from breezy clothing down to a buzz cuts(semi-kalbo) for men. As for me, I usually let my hair grow long during summer, enduring the scorching heat and flipping my hair everywhere. That used to be my style, my summer way. But due to all the changes in time, in the weather, climate change everywhere, there are awesome hairstyles now that is still stylish but in-season as well. Two of the trending styles nowadays, Brushed Up and Undercut, may just fit for your summer expeditions and summer styles. They're pretty much close to each other but there's a big difference when it comes to the person sporting it. I realized that just now. Read till the end to find out why.
The Brushed Up hairstyle. This is just the pumped up version of a slick back style. It has better volume and looks better than a slick back. Also, notice how the sides of the hair is a lot shorter than the top? It provides better styling especially to those who likes keeping their hair long but always gets those unwanted protruding hair especially on the sides. This also fits those who wants to keep their hair long but doesn't want the sides of their hair blocking their ears. This hairstyle also have a short back, really fit for summer. This looks good on most guys. Overtime, when the sides grow longer, the styling tends to be harder since the sides will start to get in the way but if you keep them trimmed, I guess it won't be a problem.
As for me, since I have that low volume hair, the brushed up hairstyle helps in making it look thick. One big benefit of this is that it keeps the bangs away.
The Undercut. Can also be called as the side cut. This is the cleaner and shorter version of the brushed up. The hair on the sides and back is shorter, close to a shaved hair look. It takes a long time to grow and breezier than the brushed up. Undercuts tend to get that brushed up look overtime. The problem with undercuts is that is really picks the person who it wants to look good with. Others sporting this style doesn't quite make the appeal for undercuts. Although the top is a lot more manageable when it comes to styling. Again, it takes time to grow, perfect for your two-month long summer vacation if you want to maintain your long hair.
I just got this haircut and it doesn't quite fit me, maybe because I don't usually get my hair short as this but it will grow on me overtime. Whenever I try a new hairstyle, they don't instantly make that fitting-look on me, they take time to grow and sync with me. Also, I haven't tried styling this hair on my own yet and I'll see how I'm going to work with it.
